Technical Requirements

  • 3rd Party Ad Serving Tag Types: CM360 iFrame and Javascript

  • Local Host Creatives: HTML5 (.zip), .GIF, JPG, PNG

  • Max File Size. 150KB

  • Animation Frame-Per-Second: HTML5 & 3rd Party Ad Tags (20 FPS), Animated GIF (under 5FPS)

  • HTML5 Requirements: Standard iAB compliance, Maximum Number of Files in .zip is 40

Guidelines

Overall:

  • Ads must comply with Standard iAB guidelines

  • All information should be relevant to what you are advertising. The display banner creative must represent the same advertiser and be relevant to the promoted product on landing page and site

  • All information should be accurate and descriptive of what you are advertising. Display banner creative that resemble site warnings or error messages, and image cannot appear to be more than one ad

  • A non-black or non-white border is required to any 3rd Party Ad Serving tags (i.e. DCM)

  • Offers of free gifts, links to quizzes and surveys, misleading claims, and references to sex or sexuality are prohibited

  • Must be COPPA (US), GDPR (EU), CCPA (California) & CPRA (California) compliant

Display Banners (Static, HTML5, GIFs):

  • Animation length must be 30 secs or shorter. Shorter animation can loop or repeat up to 3x, but must stop after 30 secs

  • Animated GIF ads must be slower than 5 FPS

  • Maximum file size is 150KB per creative

  • All images used in advertising must meet certain quality standards. The image cannot be blurry, unclear, unrecognizable and must be branded

  • Display banner creative must be distinguishable from a publisher’s content. Ads cannot appear as if they are content or links on a Publisher’s site

  • Display banner creative cannot be sideways, upside down, or do not take up the entire space of the chosen image dimension

  • Display banner creative cannot be strobing (high frame rate animation may trigger this as violation), flashing, or otherwise distracting image

  • Ads cannot expand beyond the frame or otherwise encroach on the website or app

  • Display banner creative cannot contain any adult-oriented or mature content

Landing Page:

  • Landing page must be valid, legible and navigable, and it cannot be an error page, file or PDF

Industry Specifications:

  • Gambling or alcohol related creative may require additional certification, licenses and government issued documentations on file or certification process

  • Alcohol advertising and targeting to any person under the age of 21 is prohibited

  • Tobacco, weapons, nudity, defamatory/hate content, illegal activities, profanities, or spyware are prohibited
